09 Ramlin trailer not fitting right for 03 196

Have a 03 196 sitting on a ramlin single axle trailer from an 09 196. back 2.5-3 ft of boat not contacting rails. It looks like the bow stop could be moved back but then that leaves the back of the boat sitting way out of the prop guard should anyone decide to rear end me on the road. Any suggestions on a fix would be good. I have seen ramlin double axle trailers with tabs welded on and the bunks sitting off the frame rails making it easy to place they where needed. Just would rather not have to sell the trailer and go buy a new custom made boatmate or g&m trailer. I was under the impression the haul didn't change that much between 03 and 09. Any help or ideas how to fix would be awesome. Other idea was to put some wood wedges in the back to force the section of bunks up so boat is sitting on the bunks all the way to back.

Got any pictures? I have a Ram-Lin under my '98 with no issues. Hull is very similar from 1997-2009.

Any chance the turnbuckle was tightened with the boat still on the ramp, and it is holding the bow down, forcing the back up like that? Probably not, but that would be an easy fix if that was the case.

No it was loaded and pulled out with it un attached and the turn buckle is loose the boat winch is loose too. . This is a tcs 2 and the 09 was a tcs 3 so it could be just different enough for it not to sit exact. Everywhere else looks good. One option is to do this where the bunks are actually off the frame rails. Other option is to put wedges in the back area to lift the bunks up a bit to contact boat or to weld a cross member in and put a piece in the force the bow up a bit to make contact with the back of the trailer.

Jeff a guy over in correct craft fan said ram Lin put wedges in the back that where 18" long to get trailer to make full contact on those year boats. So it sounds like I can just make a couple wedges and put them in and I'm good to go. Cheers.

Yep - add wedges and you'll be much closer at the transom. Make them yourself or call Sally at Ramlin and see if they can send you a set.

Hi I had the same problem with an 02 Ski Nautique on a Ramlin trailer and it turned out to be the wedges missing on the trailer. They are about 20 dollars from Nautique Parts.
