Ramp N Clamp vs Boat Buddy vs traditional winch

Hey guys I will be ordering a new trailer in the next few weeks. I've always just had a traditional winch on all of my previous trailers. I'm really leaning toward a traditional winch this time as well because we use several different ramps, some are steep and some are fairly flat. I like the versatility the winch gives me on differing slopes. Before I completely write them off, I wanted to see what peoples opinions are on Ramp N Clamp and Boat Buddy latches.

    Thanks

Following back up on this, I used my new Boatmate with Ramp-N-Clamp twice this back weekend and absolutely LOVE IT! No need to get on the slippery ramps anymore. The trailer still came with the traditional winch system as a backup, so that's nice.

That sounds like the best of both worlds. I already ordered my trailer with out the Ramp-N-Clamp. Perhaps it can be retrofitted.

I really like it so far. Easy to put on and off without having to get in the water. Can load and unload the boat by yourself with ease. Only thing I should have done differently is put some lube on the ramp-n-clamp. The first couple of uses rubbed some of the material off on my hull. It will come off, of course, and the lube will ensure it won't happen again.

Hi GemCitySurf - what had to be done to your boat's stock eye to get this to work? - anything or does the stock boat eye work with the BoatMate Trailer RnC?
