    Lubing of F2 jack

Has anyone performed the tsb for the Fulton F2 trailer jack where you drill a 3/8 hole in the casing and squirt grease inside to lube the acme screw? Just wondering if there are any tips you could share?

Funny you post this. I was just about to lube mine up as it's starting to stick. Tried using the Zerk fitting but it pretty much was useless . Was gonna just rub grease all over the shaft , but that idea you metion above may work too. Can you eleaborate on the TSB

      I've had 3 F2s fail. Junk.

Went to a 5k rated stainless fixed drop leg. Never looking back.

I called Fulton and the e-mailed me a pdf which described how to lube the jack. If you have a vent hole you extend it all the way and put grease in the vent hole. If you don't have the vent hole you are supposed to drill a hole 1" below the gear housing.

I drilled the hole and lubed the jack today. I seems to be better now.

The wheel surprisingly broke off of ours the other day - a good reminder to keep hands and feet clear of the tongue to avoid injury. Boatmate was awesome to deal with, and we had a replacement shortly. They said it is warrantied for life! Love working with companies with such great customer service!
