New Trailer for 2015 G23 Coastal - any advice on brand or options?

I need to get a trailer for a 2015 G23 Coastal.

Boatmate vs Ramlin vs other?
surge vs elec brakes?
aluminum vs galvanized?
other features/options i might want?


i hear from the dealer that the front roller height changed from the 2015 to 2016 trailers, so the new trailers have a lower roller point, making it difficult to use for a 2015 or older G23, plus im reading that some guys on the forum were having issues with new trailers on older boats. dealer says 2017 trailer will work, but he could order a new trailer with 2015 specs also.

Yeah, you'll want a pre-2016 design for sure. Any manufacturer will be able to make a new trailer to fit that design.

I love my Ram-Lin trailers.

Also, I strongly advise ordering electric brakes. That's the single most helpful feature on a G23 trailer. I will never order another G23 trailer without electric brakes.

Are you using it in salt? Galvanized!

Yes, salt. but most trailers in general that i see in miami for salt are aluminum, not galvanized. i know aluminum and galvanized can both still corrode if not washed right away
