    Let's talk trailer carpet.

I'm in the process of restoring my 1998 DHM trailer. I started with new wood on the wheel wells, V-pad, crash pads and side step. I ordered carpet from Nautique parts and wrapped those pieces. I'm more than disappointed with the quality of carpet they're selling. I launched my boat 5 times and the v-pads are already showing the backing. My question is can any of you recommend a good quality trailer carpet? I still have to replace the bunk wood and carpet and don't want to use the junk Nautique parts carries.

I replaced my carpet 6 years ago. I ordered trailer carpet online by the foot. It came in a big roll. I ordered the thickest I could get. If I can find the receipt, I'll post the info. Carpet still looks good. I don't put a huge amount of hours per season, but launch and load every time we go out.

I bought bunk carpet from Overton's at the beginning of the season. It's holding up great.

            Gatorbak looks great.

I purchased trailer carpet from Boatmate Trailers parts website. I comes in a big roll. Just specify how many feet you need.

We use outdoor carpet from the local box store. Have done this a few times on different lift bunks and they've lasted for at least a decade each time.

I went Darter's route...I was looking at specific carpet online then stopped by a big boat shop and they just said to get outdoor carpet and good wood. Cool thing too..at an earlier camping trip this year I installed them on my DHM trailer... We happened to also bring up our old Malibu too and I happened to notice that one of the bunks had dry-rotted thru.. so the decent bunk off the DHM trailer I mounted to Malibu trailor and I was able to make another set of bunks yesterday for the Malibu from the carpet leftover from 1st set. We're camping this weekend so will be installing them too.
