Adjustable height trailer hitch for 2009 SANTE 210

I need to buy a new trailer ball hitch. I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for an adjustable height ball mount hitch. There seem to be a few in the $50 range, then the price jumps to like $200.

I get assigned vehicles from work, so I never know what I will be driving - this is why I need an adjustable height. Any recommendations?

Also, is a 5000# ball mount sufficient for the 2009 210? 3,800 lbs dry plus trailer seems like it would be awfully close to 5000# on the road.

any recommendations would be appreciated. I was looking at something like this:

that hitch is only rated for 6k lbs. a 210 loaded with fuel and gear with the trailer could easily tip 6k i would think. curt is good i've heard, i've had good experience with trimax and B&W hitches.

5,0000 lb is not enough. 2 inch ball is rated for max 7,500 if you have the right grade. get a better hitch and ball. trailer will weight 1000lbs most likely, which would put you at 4800 with nothing in your boat.

I LOVE my WeighSafe hitch. The ability to change height and ball sizes without any tools is amazing!! Especially since I haul many different trailers ranging from 1 7/8" - 2" - 2 5/16" ball sizes! There is absolutely no slop in the hitch as well. And it has a built in tongue weight scale. It is a bit pricey though. I have the 2.5" shank but below is the 2" shank model.

I live on a lake so I will hardly trailer the boat. A road trip one in a blue moon may be it. I'm going to try to keep this under $200 if at all possible.

That's the thing man, you can't. You are only going to find Chinesium made sh!t for less $200 that will not be rated for the 7500lbs you are looking for. Don't cheap out on a $100 hitch when you are towing a boat worth tens of thousands.

The Curt hitch I linked above is made in the USA and rated at 10k lbs with the 2" ball and 14.5k with the 2-5/16 ball. $129.

ha. I get it. I'll probably end up with the Curt hitch which is more Chevy compared to the Cadillac you linked to. The trailer GVWR is 5900 so I will stay under that for sure. 6k and higher and I should be good goods.

I think I actually had to pay closer to $400 or so...but that's because I got the 2.5" shank with a 12" drop option and 3 diff sized balls! Wasn't happy about the price but looking back I'd do it all again! But yeah if you don't tow that much then it may not be worth it. As far as my boat goes, I only tow it about 5 miles to the lake and back mostly. But I do like to travel with it some and I also haul other trailers quite a bit. The one thing I HATED about cheaper drop hitches I've owned, was the slop they all had. Just felt like something was about to come apart back there while going down the road with all the banging and jerking! The ones Neirbot or you posted will prob be the best options and most sturdy in your price range.

Anyone going with a WDH? Almost every truck manufacturer recommends a WDH for anything over 5k lbs.
