    FYI...dry weight is no fluids, fuel, tower, etc. So 3800lbs in reality ends up being 4800lbs when things are said and done. A single axle is around 1000lbs, maybe a touch higher and tandem axle is 1500. For instance.....my boat "dry" is 4800lbs and I have 1500lb tandem trailer. I am over 7000lbs when my tower, speakers, 72gal fuel tank, engine fluids, gear, boards, etc (I figure maybe as high as 7500).

    As far as WDH goes....that I know of, none are made that work with these boat trailers with swing away tongue and surge brakes (even if they have electric brakes like mine, you still have surge). Honestly I still would not use WDH unless it was a long trip, too much of a pain and my truck handles the boat without any issues at all.

      I bought a 3 ball hitch for $70 bucks that goes straight out rated for over 10k and the height on the stock chev is pretty good.
