I received my boat last week. I had ordered EOH for the trailer. I picked up a little moisture in the EOH controller at the first launch ramp upon retrieval. The boat has a color bottom and I would rather not drive it up hard each time. The trailer manufacturer has been great and we are trying to figure out where to shift the electric components to. Does anyone have better pictures of their electric components for the EOH? I think boatmate puts theirs in a battery box... I guess that would be waterproof up to a certain level as long as wiring came out higher on the box. Here is pictures of current location. picture sucks...i cropped it from the photo of picking up the boat. There is another black box on the other side as well. It seems like it should be high enough on the trailer, but some of my ramps are not ideal.

Thanks. I broke abbreviation rules and never used the full name. Sorry.
The trailer sure tows nice with the brakes that’s for sure. I just don’t want to deal with moisture and in a year or two have rust issues and brakes that don’t operate correctly.

I have a 2014 Boatmate trailer with dual disc brakes. I do not have a box on my trailer, I just went out and looked. Looks like mine is located inside the swing away, least that is where my overfill is for the brake fluid. My trailer will stop my truck....love it. Is this still considered EOH?
My ramps are not all ideal either and with such a long heavy boat....been a few times where I had to get the swing away wet to float off the boat, since I also so not like to powerload, even if my hull was not black (and it is).

My EOH setup on my new Boatmate trailer is mounted in a battery box on a pedestal on the tongue. It’s up high enough that I don’t anticipate it ever getting submerged at the launch ramp. I ordered the trailer with EOH to prevent trailer brake overheating issues when going downhill. So far I’ve been very happy with the system.

I debated eoh or a third axle with surge breaks on my new G23. I ended up deciding on 3 axle. I pick up mid may...so we will see...
You all are already making regret my decision...my gut said dual axle with eoh, but the dealer talked me out of that. They suggested reliability issues but it's a small dealer. It's possible they had one bad experience years ago and that stuck with them.
I'll report back!

It doesn't really matter for me now, but I plan on using a weight distributing hitch with the boat trailer and I much prefer EOH electronically controlled vs surge.
