    Ram-Lin Trailer Behavior

Bought an '06 SANTE this spring and find the Ram-Lin trailer a little concerning.
Any time I transition from stopped to go, there appears to be a thud as the trailer transitions to moving.
Same goes for the transition from moving forward, to applying brakes.

I assumed that it has to do with the brakes being engaged or not, but it's a very noticeable, jarring feeling, and I'm worried about the load it's putting on the car during those times.

This expected behavior, or signs of some sort of service needed?
    Any assistance is appreciated.

Ram-Lin trailer model is 935WE with a 'TITAN' at the head-end attaching to the car.

Sounds like the fluid reservoir could be empty. That that big bolt/cap off and check the level.

I had the slave cylinders go bad in my old trailer causing the fluid to leak and a similar symptom.

so opening it up and seeing what appears to be a brown paste isn't a good thing?

this something any trailer shop should be able to fix?

Yeah, brown paste is not my favorite either.

You could flush it yourself or take it to a shop.

You will be better off just buying a new disc brake actuator (what is shown in your pic) and have it professionally installed. They will flush and bleed your brake lines when it is installed. This should be what is on your trailer...

Had a local shop swap this out and it towed home like a champ.
              Thanks for the insight.
