Just curious what everyone does when they go camping with their boats. I have a truck bed camper and haul it behind that. Think of hauling it behind a fifth wheel next year. Let me know if thats a bad idea, or what you do!

Can you tow a G23 behind a fifth wheel travel trailer? Anyone done it?

I think it would be pretty sketchy with the weight of the G23. MN law prevents a max length of the three vehicles, weight of boat must be less than the 5th wheel trailer, etc. I tried to find the statute but you probably need a lawyer to decipher it. I pulled a 5th wheel and fishing boat 20 years ago and with a standard cab 3/4 ton pickup and 5th wheel with 14 foot boat put me right at max length at that time.
Not to mention getting a hitch mounted to a 5th wheel that will handle the G23 and brakes?????1998 SN GT40

I saw this on the freeway once and was in absolute disbelief. Apparently it's legal somewhere but I'm puckered on some roads just pulling the boat. It would probably take 2 or 3 days for me to get regular again after pulling that kind of a rig anywhere.Last edited by bturner; 03-10-2021, 03:14 PM.
