Phoenix vs Boatmate for 210

Any opinions on which is better for a 210, a Phoenix or boatmate? Thanks

Both are solid trailer mfg. I’d go with lowest profile and one with the most options for the money.

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought better to bring this back up. Does anyone have any additional input on this one. We will need to pick between one of these 2 trailers soon. Any pros or cons to either Phoenix or the Boatmate. Also any input on options to get or avoid with trailers in general. It will be for a GS22. I know we will need a swing away tongue. We may be trailering it 20 minutes to and from the lake this year a couple times a week and possibly a few hours for vacation. I do like the look of the nice wheels and trailers that match the boat if reasonably priced. Current garage door is 8 foot so no issues, but next one could end up a 7 footer who knows. Thanks in advance for any help.

I donÂ’t know if Phoenix is still making trailers the same way, but the trailer I had under my 211 was wayyyyy longer than it needed to be. The curve from the fenders to meet the trailer tongue was way out and swooped around vice hugging the hull. The bunks also seemed to sit higher than nautique and boatmate of the same era.

I have a 2014 Boatmate and its been a solid trailer. Besides a couple rock nicks and normal stuff to maintain, I have had zero issues with it and the customer service has been excellent tho I have heard some others say different. I am sure that partly depends on the time of year you are trying to get ahold of them tho and who you get.
I don't know much about Phoenix except what I have read. Don't know if they are a bit cheaper since they are a smaller company (pure speculation), but have seen it mentioned that their pricing is less..... Saw a thread where 2 people had welds break on their cross bars, but suppose that could happen to any trailer under the right situation, never know what the OP in that situation may have done to cause an issue (not judging, just sawing I am open minded about these things when I read stuff like that). Also recently saw a thread where a couple people where talking about their galvanized trailers and when it started to rust, found out they do not "hot dip" and the galv coating is only on the outside of the frame. To me would defeat the entire purpose.

Again, just things I have read, they may be the best out there.

My vote is Boatmate. I do not have experience with Boatmate. I personally have a Boatmate for my gs22 and love it. Trailers very easily, tongue weight is setup perfect. Also, my friend just trailered his new sv211 on a 2017 single axle custom built Boatmate from Texas to New York!!! He said the bearings didn’t even get warm and other than the lateral weight of the boat, he didn’t really notice the boat being there! Boatmate all the way
