Anyone have a decent amount of miles of tower down no cover towing on a 2019 G? Any issues? Is it as good and easy as it looks?

Yep, towed mine 300 miles (round trip) for a lake trip last season (I had one of the first 19s). No issues at all. Locked the Bimini and window and it was great.
Was nice not worrying about overpasses and gas station clearance. Shoot, if I was a pro I coulda gone thru McDonald’s drive thru with that puppy!

Follow up:
picked up the G yesterday and towed 300+ miles with the tower down.... it’s awesome.
1. If you have to tow any lengthy distances, absolutely tow with the tower down. Takes less than a minute to lower the tower and lock the Bimini in the low stowed configuration, and maybe a minute to return to regular tower up configuration. Very slick, quick and easy to do. Releasing the Bimini from the the low position: push DOWN on the Bimini to release the shock pressure.... not up. It’s counterintuitive.
2. No issues whatsoever in down configuration. Tower stops at the bottom, lock the Bimini down. Nothing is touching or rubbing to damage...you’re ready to tow.
3. You save gas with less wind drag. With my old Gs 6-7.5Mpgs at 65-73MPH. Last night I averaged 8.3mpgs on cheapie gas. With Shell it’d have been close to 9mpg.
4. Lower center of gravity = less lateral slop side to side over rough highways, construction seams and asphalt transitions. Less wobbly.
5. Less bugs, dirt and road grime.
6. Less wind beat down on your Bimini fabric.... which WILL rip and fray over time with 70mph winds.
all goodness guys, highly recommended.
also... the standard cover can be used tower up or in tower down config if you’re brave enough to try that towing.

For the tower up config... It has a very slick improved HangTyte type thing designed into it that loops onto the tower tow point... and pulls a rope sewn into the cover from bow to stern tight to prevent water pooling. I like it. Has 2 poles to assist.
In tower down config the tower holes close tight... I’m assume it relies on the folded tower taking up a lot of the slack to prevent water pooling... and the 2 poles
