    EZ loader trailer parts

Noticed this past trip home from dale hollow my drivers side caliper was hanging off trailer. Noticed I still had trailer brakes but they didn’t feel as grabby. Appears the bolts holding caliper to hub sheared off unless they attach another way. Rotor is gouged pretty bad. Any one have any ideas or where I can get parts? Located in indiana.

I have purchased directly from EZ Loader. If you give them the VIN number they can get you the correct parts.

EZ Loader does have a pretty good selection of parts especially some of the harder oil bath components and O rings that can be harder to find. That said you're always better off to cut out the middle man and go to the larger OEM market to buy parts directly. Some fairly simple detective work tracking down the component names by manufacture and part number typically engraved or cast into the part will go a long way in being able to find replacement quickly and competitively going forward. Manufacture part names like UFP, Dexter, Dico and hopefully not Reliable can quickly find you a source to independence in buy and maintaining your trailer without having to bend the knee and pay the price to the trailer manufacture.

Once source components have been identified re-sellers like eTrailer, Champion, Pacific Trailer, Shadow trailers, and Waymires can become a discounted source for quality and hard to find components. I've used all three over the years with great success in saving hundreds of dollars over the years buying directly the very same and sometimes upgraded components that were used buy the trailer manufacture.

For that rotor you're looking for..... Get the name of the axle manufacture, the name of the caliper and if possible get the manufacture for the rotor. All this will be on tags or casted into the components. With all this you can call just about any company and they'll tell you exactly the component parts numbers you have/need.

Another stupid simple place is in the owners manual. If you don't have one you can typically download one off Trailer builder's site. In the manual for many of the trailers will be the part numbers for many if not all base component part numbers. At a minimum most will give you the inner/outer bearing numbers , the seal and the race numbers. My last MasterCraft trailer gave me the actuator, rotor, calipers and brake shoe numbers as well.

Moral of the story is to do your research now before you need the parts if possible. If you need them now, now is the time to do your homework to find the best price and best service to get those parts you need now or may need in the future.
