Can I ask what year and brand of trailer it is? We recently had a catastrophic bearing failure on a nearly new trailer for our G21...
I don’t have input on the safety of driving with only 3 wheels, apologies. Please be safe.

Ok, thanks. Ours was a 2018 Extreme. Front left bearing exploded, wheel sheared off (luckily no one was behind us) and rear tire exploded and wrapped around the fender. We were really lucky to not end up down a 50’ embankment.
We ended up having to put the boat/trailer on an extra large flatbed wrecker with the tower folded down. Still fighting with trailer manufacturer.
Best and luck and be safe.

Who's your car and boat insurance with? I'm with BoatUS and have 100 mile towing included with my policy. AAA also has towing that will extend to my trailer as well that I've been told by friends they've used for their boat. That G is not a light boat by any means so there's the loading issue but there's also going to be a handling issue as well. I'm sorry but I would not recommend doing 100 mile trip with a boat that weight on 3 wheels.
Could you do it.... sure. You can do a lot of stupid stuff and you might get away with it, for a while anyway. Is it smart or worth the chance of wrecking the boat or worse yet hurting someone on the road should another wheel or axle fail? Not to me but this would be something you'll have to weigh and decide.
If it were me I'd find out how much of the flat bed tow my insurance would cover and pay the rest out of pocket to get it back home safely.

Ended up driving back to Salt Lake 200 miles leaving the boat in a safe area got the parts and drove back. Had to get the whole UFP Vault Torsion Arm Disc Brake Assembly. I took it to a local diesel repair shop to Air Gun the old bolt off, no way I could do it by hand. Defiantly glad I didn't try it on 3 wheels thanks for all the input everyone.Last edited by kodiak; 05-22-2020, 05:09 PM.
