    Trailer damaging hull - G23

Hello, have a 2016 G23 and a BoatMate trailer but am noticing that the trailer is scratching the hull. Not too worried about it as i am sure i can buff it out, but any tips on preventing this ? Anybody else having the same issue ?

I’ve had every boat I’ve ever owned get a scratched hill from the trailer. That’s why I finally made the leap from black hulls to white.

You can try to put your trailer deeper and float the boat farther before it contacts the bunks . Your bunk carpet will last longer too.

Bottom line is carpet is going to trap sand, sand is going to scratch boat. You can go to poly bunks but there's some downsides there as well. My personal take on this is go with what you have then detail when you go to sell the boat. Everything in between live with. I know it will drive you nuts but its life. Use your stuff and enjoy every moment on the water. Do the maintenance at the end of season and be happy for the time you had on the water.
