I purchased a 82 Ski Nautique with a really rough trailer. I am pretty sure it is the original trailer. The sticker on the boat windshield matches the dealer sticker on the trailer. I know that is where it was originally purchased. I had to replace the axel due to epic bearing failure. My concerns are a few to say the least. The front stop on the trailer that cradles the bow has definitely been relocated further back from what I can see. No idea why someone would touch that. The boat is in my opinion not far enough on the trailer. There is zero protection for prop/rudder. Can anyone tell me what version trailer this is and any feedback is greatly appreciated. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That would be a Correct Craft #3 trailer.
Back then, there were no prop guards.
It does appear that someone has moved the bow stop pretty far back on yours. This was probably to reduce tongue weight on a severely-undersized tow vehicle. I would move it back to the stock position ASAP.
Here's the trailer info from the 1982 brochure.

Thank you so much! That is very helpful information. I really appreciate it. I will get that moved ASAP. The other issue I was concerned about is that the new axel sits a little higher than the OEM axel or at least I think it is. The ribs on the bottom look like they protect the tracking fins. Is it normal to see the axel sit up a little higher than the protection ribs? I don’t have pictures of that angle before replacement. I am assuming that when the boat comes on the trailer at the boat ramp it is on a angle so the tracking fins wouldn’t come in contact with the axel? I have put the boat on the trailer a handful of times with the new axel. I inspected the tracking fins and no visible damage. Thanks again!
