    Trailer winch hookup problem

Just got my SANTE 210 last week, wasn’t really paying attention how previous owner hooked up and u hooked the boat off the trailer. But when I went to put her in the water yesterday I had issues with the “hook” on the front of the boat. It would not allow any slack and I basically had to get my tools out and take the bolts off to take the entire setup off. Anybody have any issues or solutions to this? I figure I’m just missing something, but can’t figure out how to make it looser with the boat still on trailer. My old trailer had the roller and winch so I’m looking at just buying a set of those but figure I’d ask around first. Any suggestions??? Here’s some pics of the setup:

sorry think I posted on wrong topic... new to this and just figuring it out

If my turnbuckle gets too tight to unscrew by hand, I'll just stick a screwdriver inbetween and twist for some added leverage

Ok, then I can just loosen it or tighten it that way? There will be enough slack to unhook the boat?

And since I’m already on this thread... here she is! Just picked her up last week. 2011 SANTE! Love it! Any advice as a “new” Nautique owner?

Yeah, just loosen it until theres enough slack to unclip it from the bow. Beautiful boat, congrats!
