New Weigh Safe Hitch

I recently gave away my drop hitch to the buyer of my 211, so I decided to finally buy a hitch that will work with any trailer I pull. You can swap the 2-5/16" ball out with the 2" ball with a simple pin, so I can use this to tow smaller boats like Ski Nautiques, or big boats like a G25. This thing is awesome! If you've ever considered a Weigh Safe hitch, you should get one!

I am interested to see the difference in tongue weight between my current 2020 G23 on a dual-axle EZ Loader trailer and my 2021 G23 on a triple-axle Phoenix trailer. This will make figuring that out very easy!

I have had that same hitch for 3 years now. It’s is great, but it does need attention paid to it if you plan on leaving it in year round.

You will need to work the key mech that holds the hitch body in place once a month at least. I pull mine every month and clean it. Also I have mine sprayed with white lithium grease that I reapply every time I pull the hitch body. They also make a cover that hoes over the key area that I recommend.

I let it go for 6 months and it ended up being Seized. I had to order 4 sets of extra keys to finally get it broke loose. The barrel key kept breaking while I was trying to work it free.

I have the 10” drop and can’t say enough about it! Great product

I have the same brand but without the gauge, absolutely love it. I especially like that you can tune the height to get the exact height you need. I only use mine in the summer and even then only to pull the boat some dozen times a year. It never stays on the truck long and is always stored inside so I've never had an issue with corrosion.

If it disappeared somehow tomorrow I'd buy another.

Part of my "upgrades" for the towing rig for our new boat included a 4" drop/rise Weigh-Safe hitch. Really like the construction and concept—seems to work just fine (I am planning to lubricate it and take it off during the lay up season). NautiqueJeff: Since you use a WDH setup (I know that you use the Equal-i-zer), I am curious if you have considered using the Weigh-Safe WDH, see: https://www.weigh-safe.com/product/t...ibution-hitch/ ? As I am going to go with the WDH setup once Boatmate builds our new trailer (i.e., with electric brakes), I am curious if you have any further recommendations/advice on the WDH subject.
