    lead and traveling

I bought bags for my last boat cause I was afraid to travel to the gas station with weight in the boat. Those of you that use lead, do you take it out before traveling?

I run 1000 lbs of lead and it stays in, I only drive from the Bay Area to Don Pedro most of the time so not that far on the trailer. I have towed without it and to my surprise the truck rides better with the lead IMO but, also have a big Diesel truck, hope your not one of those that tow a big boat with a small suv! That would change the whole ball game, then yes pull all the weight out LOL

      Thanks....

Well see, my 2019 Dodge ram limited 1500 is supposed to have a tow rate of 12,000lbs.

It tows our GS20 pretty easy. And pulls it out of the water when the launch is pretty steep rather easy. Well see how it does with a 23' here pretty soon...

Make sure your trailer is rated for the extra weight.
