Phoenix trailers for 2021 G23

Posting this just because:

I saw Phoenix Trailers ad on the home page and I clicked on it. Ended up emailing a couple questions on their generic form. I asked if there was any difference between the tandem and triple--other than cosmetic. Was told that other than cosmetic--on the tri axle, the boat sits closer to the ground. Was also told that the capacity on a tandem is 7,500 pounds and capacity on a tri axle is 8,300 pounds; tongue weight should be same on both.

That's interesting. I have a brand new Phoenix triple axle.

I am surprised that they say the tongue weight is the same on both. Typically the tongue weight on a triple is significantly lower.

Wow, barely another 800# capacity with a third axle? That's kinda poor imo. Agreed the tongue weight should be less on the triple. Doesn't make much sense. How much more $$ for the triple over the tandem?

Also....why would the boat sit closer to the ground?? How much different could it be.....other than rim/tire size being thrown in?

None of the major trailer companies use torsion axles on their triples. They are all leaf spring. That could be why they sit lower, but that's just a guess.
