    Boat Trailer Rock Guard

I see that the new trailers coming in are color matched rock guard, I’m needing to repaint my trailer and am wondering how this is holding up on your trailers? Even in the summer here in Alberta we still have lots of leftover winter gravel on the highways and it beats the heck out of the trailers. I have rock tamer mudflaps but they aren’t stopping enough. Just wondering if this would be a viable solution. Any fading, or chipping?
    Thanks in advance.

What do you mean color matched rock guard? Do you have pics of what you're talking about?

I’ll take a picture when I go by the dealer next week, basically it’s similar to box liner in pickups

I stopped by the dealership today and took a couple of quick pics, hopefully this shows what I was trying to explain

My 2018 Ramlin trailer has a rough finish like that...It's not that old, but still looks great.

Oh I see, like bed-liner finish. My trailer is just normal black paint.

There is nothing prettier than a galvanized trailer. It's ugly the day you buy it and its ugly the day you sell but it's consistent throughout its life and a little galvanized spray coating will fix any flaws. Reminds me of an old song, "you want to be happy for the rest of your life, find an ugly woman and make her your wife".

You bet, all of their trailers are apparently coming in like this now and they gave me a price to change mine over, and I’m seriously considering it, my trailer is burgundy and the primer is ( of course) white so it’s really starting to look pretty shoddy with the rock chips.
