I have a 2000 Super Sport that I bought a little over a year ago and knew I’d need a new trailer or put some money into it. A year or searching and I can’t seem to find a good used replacement. I’m looking new. Any suggestions? I’m familiar with Boatmate and have heard good things about McClain but wondering if anyone has any other options I haven’t heard of. I’m assuming I’m going to be $4-5k for a single axle but I don’t want to go aluminum. Any thoughts on other companies? Thanks in advance.

I had a 97 SN that needed a replacement trailer. Nautique dealer recommended Phoenix trailers. I was happy with it. It was way better than the original. The oil bath bearings alone are worth the upgrade. Maintenance free for at least 10 years. My assumption is that all trailer brands use the oil bath bearings these days.

I have a Phoenix trailer as well that was purchased in 2019. It's a very well built trailer. Mine has the "Vault" bearing system on it which is a 10 year maintenance free system.
If you're buying new expect the price to be higher due to materials costs being higher these days and demand. Also take your time and think through the trailer type and options you want/need. I've had heavier boats in the past so tandem axle was the best option but there's good and bad that goes with that. With this new lighter boat I went with a single axle trailer. For this boat the single is working out well for me. It's very easy to move around and since it's mostly only me moving it this is a huge bonus.
On the option side don't take anything for granted as being standard. Spare tie carrier, retractable tie down straps, upgraded step pads, winches, etc. all need to be considered. A lot of things can be added later but IMO that spare tire carrier is the one item to buy now as it will be welded on from the factory instead of bolting one on later.

Thanks you all. At this point, I just want to find something that I don't have to wait 12-14 weeks for. Seems Boatmate and Phoenix are that far out. I'd even consider going with a painted ez load trailer if I could find someone that had an adjustable one in stock.
