Anyone Know Pontoon Trailers for a Bunk Question

I have a Hoosier trailer for my pontoon dock and I was thinking of replacing the bunk lumber and carpet this summer. I have done this many times on my various inboard trailers. But the pontoon is a bit different. The length of the two bunk runners (two per side; four total) is 20 feet long (2x4). I can not seem to find a seam in the lumber, so it looks like it could be custom length lumber. There is a bracket at 10 feet, I guess I could go with two 10 foot pieces, but the bracket only has two holes so I'm worried about twisting at the seam. I guess I could drill two more holes.

This is a low budget project and I'm not really interested in getting those nice pre-assembled, easy glide bunks.

Anyone have any experience or info to share. I'm not about to join another forum to discuss this, so hopefully someone here can share.

Well, I'll be. I just looked at their online catalog and it is a custom 20 foot bunk board. $90 each plus tractor trailer freight. Ha, ha, ha.

Hello step bit and some new holes with lumber from Lowes.
