Ski Nautique 200 Trailer

What is a good trailer for a Ski 200? I am using a Boatmate, and it is tearing up my spray chines. Is there a better trailer out there. We trailer the boat every time we ski. It is not stored on a lift, and only used twice a year. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a Phoenix under my 95 for about 8 years now, N3 bought it for the boat before my purchase. If I had to buy a new one now this is what I'd do different,1- eliminate the bow roller and substitute a Ramlin style bow stop,on steep ramps the roller can actually get hung up either between the rub rail and bow ring or actually hit the bow light. I found and modified a Ramlin stop to fit and cut off the roller assembly,now much easier to load. 2- Make sure that the rear uprights contact the rubrail when the boat is in place. My older hull tapers in at the last few feet of length,the uprights being that far back allows the hull to move sideways when loading have to be really careful prop does not hit the sides of the prop guard. If in my case the uprights were moved forward two feet would solve the problem. 3- This applies to all brands of box framed trailers, have the inside sections rustproofed with a Ziebart type product.In the past unless they have changed they leave them bare steel,they do rust out. Their paint jobs are fantastic,they use Vault hubs and their brake calipers.pads and disc's are off the shelf KIA parts- all readily available.

Interesting as I love my Boatmate. I'm on a lift now but exclusively trailered for 9 years. I would suggest spraying the front bunks with liquid rollers.

My Boatmate trailer is scraping the gelcoat down to the base fiberglass on the spray chines nearest the bow. I recognize this has a lot to do with the angle of my boat ramp. I always get all the bunks wet before loading but I have to have the trailer father out of the water than desired in order to get the bow ring on the boat over the top of the roller by the winch. At the end of the season I started using bunk lube on the front bunks. Maybe this will at least slow the damage. I’ve resigned myself to having to pay for fiberglass work in a few years once it gets really bad.
