I have a question im hoping you guys can shed some light on. I bought a spare mount for my trailer expecting a bolt on type mount with a backing plate and u-bolts or similar. Boatmate sent me the mount and bolts but did not send any sort of backing plate. I was told by someone else that the frame needs to be drilled and bolted up. Not what I was expecting. Anyone encountered this ? Im not afraid to weld it if needed, I can just cut my own backing plate on the plasma table if needed, just curious what everyone else has seen
