Trailer Light Addition

A simple little project. I’ve always run puck lights on my trailers. It makes it nice to spot your trailer backing in late in the season in low light or dark light conditions and adds a little bling. Just a few, less is more, too many lights and it looks like you are headed to the circus. I drilled the holes that I could get to in the shop, the remainder I tapped at the lake. Did 5 or 6 step ups on the drill to the final ¾” hole. Chased the wires through the trailer channel and tapped into the rear taillights. I only like to wire once, so everything is triple step-up shrink wrapped, no water, no worries.

Don't judge me because I have a light fetish, ha. 35 minute installation give or take.
2 fold accomplishment with rear backup LED's: They really do a nice job of lighting up the runway/ramp, and they get the attention of letting other always aware and courteous boaters know that you are backing up, even in the day time. If that doesn't work there are always the air horns on the truck, which I had to use the other day to stop an empty a-hole trailer from backing into my boat off the ramp. Right of way and etiquette, sometimes you just can't teach it.
