1984 SN 2001 w/original CC trailer. There is no eye bolt, or equivalent, on the trailer to anchor the turnbuckle. Are there any better ideas than looping chain around the trailer frame and attaching there? If not, any suggestions on chain weight/strength? '84 SN is roughly 2300lbs. Thanks in advance

This is my 2003 Ram-Lin trailer for my 196. The piece where the turnbuckle connects is a bolt-on piece. Maybe you could order one from Ram-Lin if you really want to.

Thanks for the response. My '84 trailer doesn't have the vertical post...instead the bow stops sit on a loop that's u-bolted to the outside frame. I think I'm going to have to go with a chain. Thanks again though.Comment

Get someone to weld on a bracket or do you have a place to mount a winch instead of using a turnbuckle. Winches attach with u-bolts. Or buy this.
