Question on phoenix trailer g23

I have a 2020 phoenix trailer and the back of it has these open holes I’m curious if it’s for something specific? Like transom steps?

It’s to hook transom tie down straps. Tgecc cc smaller joke allows you to mount a self retracting pair that stay bolted to the trailer and just release from the transom U bolts.

That’s what I thought too but I already have those self retracting straps to the left of them

It’s just an optional mounting point, different location for boats that have tie downs in other areas that need to get around things.
