    98 Sport wake good?

I have been looking at a 98 Sport on line and have been told that you can put a 600# sack in rear locker and 400-500# sack in ski locker and have a great wake. Any experienced opinions would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

I can't believe with all these boats and comparable hulls that NOBODY has an idea of how this boat should be weighted. It looks as though everybody really has to load up to get a good wake, so what's the scoop. :?:

We used to put a single sac in the locker and side sacs on either side of the motor box. The wake was a large as we ever needed but it sure was difficult to move around the boat....

Yep, you are exactly right. Put a sac in the rear locker and a sac in the floor locker and you will have a wake as good as any SAN and all your ballast is hidden. Back in '98 this hull was used for pro tournaments.

1 in the trunk, 1 in the locker, 1 on each side of the engine, and 1 in the bow. About 2500# should get you rocking! (is that too much? oh yeah, 200# lead under the bow cushions) That's what we put in my 2001 Air to get it to compare to SANs with 2000+
