Correct Craft, in conjunction with the US Coast Guard, has issued a recall for select 2003 and 2004 model boats. This issue was previously addressed with a Safety Notice, but in the interest of additional safety, a RECALL has been instituted.
Correct Craft requests that owners DO NOT attempt to perform this repair themselves. Instead, they are asking that you schedule an appointment with your local dealer as soon as possible to get this issue resolved.
Some of you might have noticed that we had the service bulletin (fix sheet) for this issue posted in our recalls section. At the request of Correct Craft, we have removed that bulletin. If you are planning to complete this repair yourself without visiting your local dealer, please contact Correct Craft before doing so. They can be reached at 1-407-855-4141.
Correct Craft has asked us to pass along that due to US Coast Guard regulations, they are required to send certified letters to all known owners of the boats in question. Please be on the lookout for these letters.
This recall applies to ALL 2003 Correct Craft boats as well as the following 2004 Correct Craft boats:
40000-40347, 42000-42197, 44000-44197, 47000-47537, 48000-48154, 49000-49219
