    Sea Dek won't sell to us directly anymore??

    I just requested a quote from SeaDek to redo my platform and anything with Sano on it and got this reply back;

    "Thanks for your interest in SeaDek. Correct Craft has asked us to send customers their way when asking about swim platform pads. Please contact them.
    Thank you,"

    I received a similar reply a few weeks ago when I inquired about replacing the carpet in my boat with SeaDek.

      Not a huge fan of it but if the price was right I was going to give it a go, but now with seadeks mark-up then Correct Crafts then the dealers, i'm out!

          I can see them doing this if you are re-doing a boat that could have been purchased with the SeaDeck ( 2010 or newer) but I think they are wrong to require others to purchase through the dealer.

              Simply have sea dek send you their kit. Trace it exactly and send it back to them. They will then make the products you specified and send the pieces to you.

                I would anticipate CC will buy it at a lower cost than Sea Dek was selling direct due to volume, but then CC will mark it up 20%-50% and then the dealers will make at least 25% on it. I would anticipate the purchase price through the CC/dealer network will be 30%-50% higher than buying direct. This is just a guess since there are now two layers of mark-up in place.

                  Maybe you were referrred to CC because SeaDek doesn't have all the platform specs. Looking to have my 07 220 platform redone with SeaDek and assumed they would have the specs - they referred me to CC. Like FFmedic74 said, ask for kit and send in traceings and they will send SeaDek...haven't done mine yet... Anyone install their own in their nautique?

                        not sure that will fit the bill on a Nautique platform. I'd have to see an install in person too believe.

                          The SANO imo, is crap. They have replaced it twice on my boat. It dries out and becomes hard and cracks, with razor sharp edges. I have had guests get cut from that stuff. I keep the boat in a boathouse and covered so the sun is not to blame. I love Nautiques but I think SANO is a substandard product.

                            Does anyone have Sea Deck on an 2008 210? I a m trying to get prices from 2 Nautique dealers, one is telling me SeaDek does not have the OEM template and one is telling me they do. I'm not interested in making my own template and willing to wait if they do not. Anyone order it with out a self made template? Man they don't make it easy to spend your money now a days.

                              I don't believe they have the templates for anything beyond 2009. I can understand that Sea Deck would not sell to you directly (they might have a type of non-compete clause in their CC contract) But if it is prior to 2009, I think they should be able to sell. The digital file should be available to send to Sea Deck for them to use. But then again, CC would have to furnish that.
                              If you call Sea Deck and advise them that your dealer does not have your pattern, they may be more keen to helping.
